DirecTV can’t lose with their massively popular ad campaign. They really can’t.
After Rob Lowe stole the show last season with his multitude of disturbingly flawed, alternate Rob Lowes — who are still using cable, mind you — DirecTV decided to go back to the “weird clone” well, this time sending out potential Jordy Nelson-replacement Randy Moss.
…and his smaller, sadder self.
“I have not lost the itch,” he said to NFL on Fox crew during Sunday night’s Titans-Rams preseason game. “I’ve been working out with a few guys during the offseason, I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know. That’s the love for the game I have inside of me.”
With news coming down that the Green Bay Packers’ top wideout tore his ACL Monday, it’s no surprise that people are talking about a comeback — especially since Reggie Wayne was signed to a one-year deal by the New England Patriots. The 38-year-old Moss last played for the San Francisco 49ers in 2012.
